These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SetTimerFor ("we", "us", "the site"), available at settimerfor.com, and all of the tools it provides, including the online alarm clock, countdown timers, stopwatch, pomodoro timer and world clock. By visiting the site or using any of its tools you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
1. The service
SetTimerFor is a collection of free, browser-based time tools. Everything runs directly in your web browser: no account, registration, download or payment is required. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time without notice, and we do not promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
2. No warranty — do not rely on it for critical timing
We work hard to keep the timers and alarms accurate, but browser-based tools depend on your device, operating system, browser settings and power state. An alarm will not ring if the tab is closed, the device sleeps, or the browser blocks audio. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on this site as your only alarm for safety-critical, medical, legal or otherwise important deadlines — always keep an independent backup. We are not liable for missed alarms, missed appointments or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site.
3. Permitted and prohibited use
You may use the site for any lawful personal, educational or workplace purpose, free of charge. You must not:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site in a way that burdens our servers, or republish substantial parts of its content as your own;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
- use the site to distribute malware or run automated abuse, click fraud or ad fraud of any kind;
- frame or mirror the site in a misleading way, or remove or obscure notices and attribution.
4. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, code and branding are owned by SetTimerFor or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the tools in your browser for their intended purpose. Linking to any page of the site is welcome; copying pages wholesale is not.
5. Advertising
The site is funded by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisers and ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse and are not responsible for advertised products or the sites they link to.
6. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Your continued use of the site after a revision means you accept the updated Terms. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
7. Termination
We may restrict or terminate access to the site (for example by technical means) for any user or traffic source that violates these Terms or harms the service, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. You may stop using the site at any time; because there are no accounts, nothing further is required from you.
